The Range Rover Sport is an exciting car
that is relaxing and effortless to drive.
The new Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Alert facilitates motorway
cruising. This system allows you to maintain a set speed and distance
from the vehicle in front so when it slows down or speeds up so do you.
Speed Proportional Variable Ratio Steering has speed sensitivity to allow
for easy manoeuvrability at low speed and superb stability at high speeds.
At slower speeds it is light and very direct and at faster speeds it is
more firmly weighted and less sensitive to aid stability.

Exceptional Brakes
With large brake discs the Range Rover Sport has phenomenal stopping power.
The supercharged version of the Range Rover Sport uses four piston BREMBO
disc brakes. All models have front and rear ventilated disc brakes.
The latest generation four channel anti-lock Bosch ABS anti-lock brakes
are standard on all models as is Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) which reduces
braking distance in an emergency and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
(EBD) delivering maximum control without wheel lock.
An electronic Park Brake replaces a standard handbrake and is applied
by a console switch and disengages automatically when the car moves under
power.
All terrain sports tyres
Tyres are all-terrain, so they can perform on tarmac or on a tundra, on-road
or over rocks.
The top of the range Supercharged model has 20 inch diameter alloy wheels
for optimum road holding and tarmac grip. 17, 18 and 19 inch wheel designs
are available on the other models.
All wheels are fitted with multi-purpose tyre compounds meaning they provide
the broadest breadth of capability for their size on and off road.

The Range Rover Sport is a sports tourer whose performance doesn’t
diminish when the road runs out. This SUV is equipped to be unstoppable
on just about any terrain.
Patented Land Rover technology
The Terrain Response™ system gives the Range Rover Sport class leading
off-road capability. This patented Land Rover technology is the nearest
equivalent to having an off road expert in the passenger seat. The driver
selects the terrain setting using the rotary switch on the console. The
vehicle then optimises its electronic settings for the chosen terrain
to deliver the best performance irrespective of the conditions. There
is a choice of five settings, general, grass/gravel/snow, mud and rut
and rock crawl.
An optional Satellite Navigation system even offers off-road guidance
so miles from any sign of human habitation, the driver will still know
which way to go.

Fully independent suspension. Ideal on road
and off.
The fully independent double wishbone suspension has been designed for
sporty ride and handling.
The air-sprung suspension is computer-controlled to improve handling and
ride. At high speed or when cornering quickly, the air springs are firm,
reducing pitch. At low speed, or off-road, they offer enormous compliance,
improving ride and suppleness.
Standard on supercharged models and optional on the others, the new Dynamic
Response System senses cornering forces and acts to optimise body control
and provides superb handling in all conditions. This system decouples
off road to allow greater wheel articulation during tough and all terrain
driving.
The air suspension is also height adjustable, to allow the car to clear
rocks and rutts off-road or to lower to improve passenger access.
